Nielsen's American Bulldogs
This our
home on the web and we would like to share it with you.
There are many types of American Bulldogs and we love each
one for what it has to offer. We currently have 3 types of females.
Tiko who is our functional type bully; Button who
is our Standard/Preformance type, and our homegrown Angel who is our 100% Johnson female.
Each one brings their own controbutions
to the breed. And each has a very stable temperment, nice drive, and great conformation.
Our dogs share our house with
our family which includes our 2 kids ages 8 and 2, our cat Buster and our Rat Terrier Flower. We belive in strong socialization
from a young age.
When we
eval our females for show, working, and breeding stock we have a major focus on temperment. We feel with the bad raps the
bully breeds are getting a good stable temperment is esscinial. We also have a big focus on health as there are more and more
Am Bulls that are suffering from major health problems. Because of this we certifiy our dogs with OFA prior to breeding.
We feel this is the best possiable way to help insure we are breeding top quality dogs. However sometimes issues do pop up
and we want our buyers to know we will always be there.
With our breeding program we try to preserve the orginal look
of the bulldog. We like our dogs to be athletic with good wind and heat tolarance. We are active in showing and are often
traveling going to various conformation events and working events. We are getting more involved in WP and have big plans for
this year.
We are working on getting into competive obidence; we are also going to be hopefully be getting into some
other preformance events such as bite work and would love to do agility.
Currently we have one adult female and 2 up and
comming females. We are expecting big things our of these girls this year.
This year we will be getting our CGC and
NKC GTT1 and 2 titles and our WP titles. We are looking foward to finishing our Championship titles.
With Button
we are hoping to get her theropy certificate.
We would like to say a special thank you to our friends who have help us with training, showing and
just good friends.
We would also thank all our puppy buys who have become life long friends.
If you
are thinking about an American Bulldog as a pet or working companion be aware that these dogs are not for inexperienced dog
owners. If you are interested in a pup please know that these dogs need to be well trained and exercised daily and have plenty
of social contact from a young age. They are very athletic and as a rule not content to lie around all day.They are highly
intelligent and trainable! A fenced yard is a must!!!
